Manheim Fees: What Is Public

Manheim sets most fees by auction location, so there is no single price list. This page collects every Manheim fee that is published, with the page it came from, and calculates the one that has a national formula: the late fee.

Updated October 2026. Runs in your browser; nothing you type is sent anywhere.

Late fee
$283.50
Fee base
$9,450

The formula

  • Late fee = 3% x (sale price + buy fee + added charges), minimum $40, maximum $400
  • Total Simulcast cost = auction buy fee (varies by location) + $50 Simulcast fee
  • Storage = days past the free window x your location's daily rate

Worked example

  • $9,000 sale, $450 buy fee, paid late: 3% of $9,450 = $283.50.
  • $1,000 sale, $200 buy fee: 3% is $36, so the minimum applies = $40.
  • $20,000 sale, $600 buy fee: 3% is $618, so the cap applies = $400.

Not public, so not listed: the per-sale buyer fee, seller fees, and account or membership fees. Storage and loading vary by location, so the two locations above are examples, not a national rate. Checked 2026-09 and October 2026. Late fee calculator.

FAQ

What are Manheim's buyer fees?

Manheim does not publish one national buyer fee table. Its public terms say buyer, late, renege, title and storage fees are on the fee schedule for each auction location. The one national buyer-side number on its help pages is the $50 Simulcast buyer fee, charged on top of the auction's normal buyer fee.

What does Manheim charge to sell a car?

We could not find a public seller fee schedule on Manheim's site. Seller fees are set by location and by your agreement. A few location pages mention seller-side items, such as a $75 late title fee at Manheim Denver after 45 days. Ask your Manheim representative for the schedule that applies to you.

How much is Manheim storage?

It depends on the location. Manheim Central Florida lists $10 per day from day 15 after purchase, and Manheim Denver lists $20 per day after 14 days. Commercial vehicles and equipment are $25 per day from day 15 under Manheim's commercial terms. Check your location before you buy.

How much is the Manheim late fee?

3% of the sale price plus the buy fee and any added charges, never below $40 and never above $400, if payment is not received by the end of business day 3 of aging. A $9,000 sale with a $450 buy fee is $283.50.

Are there Manheim account or membership fees?

Manheim's public terms list membership fees among the charges on each location's fee schedule, but we found no public dollar amount. Confirm with your Manheim representative.

Why is there no Manheim fee calculator here for the buy fee?

Because the amount is not public. A calculator needs a schedule, and inventing one would give you wrong numbers. The late fee calculator above uses the buy fee you enter.
