Market prices

Market figures come from LocalIQ™, CarFlipIQ's index of asking prices on local used-car listings, refreshed every 6 hours. It is an asking-price index, not a record of sale prices, so treat the median as your resale ceiling.

Medians, not averages

We report medians so a handful of outlier listings can't drag a number. A model only appears once it has at least 10 listings behind it; below that we say so instead of printing a figure.

Auction fees

Fee figures follow the auctions' published fee schedules. Schedules change, so each article shows when it was last reviewed, and the fee calculators use the same tables. Always confirm the final invoice amount with the auction.
