The Manheim run list is the on-screen list of upcoming vehicles inside a Simulcast sale, and the lights on each car are red (as is), yellow (announced conditions), green (no known major defects) or blue (title absent). Per Manheim's own guide, the lights summarize condition information from its vehicle reports.

This guide covers where to find the run list, what each light says and what it does not. Sources are Manheim's own pages, checked October 2026.

Where do you find the Manheim run list?
Per Manheim's Simulcast Buyer's Guide:
- In the sale: "Scroll the entire Run List to see the upcoming vehicles at the start or during the sale." From the Run List you can open a vehicle's condition report and return to the vehicle on the block.
- Before the sale: under Pre-Sale Inventory you can "research vehicle details, find information on inspections and sale disclosures" and submit proxy bids for upcoming sales.
- To enter: when you click Enter Sale, Manheim sends you to the Dealer Registration page, where you pick the dealership(s) you represent, add contact information and accept the terms.
You also need to be registered with Auction Access before you can bid, and registered for specific auctions on Manheim.com. See how to open a Manheim account for the account steps.
What do the Manheim lights mean?
Straight from the same guide:
| Light | What Manheim says |
|---|---|
| Red | "Vehicle sold 'as is'" |
| Yellow | "Vehicle sold under announced conditions" |
| Green | "Vehicle free of any known major defects" |
| Blue | "Title is absent" |
Two announcement types sit beside them: the bullhorn, for "important auction announcements about the operating location or sale," and vehicle announcements, for "any pertinent vehicle disclosures."
What does a green light not tell you?
Green means no known major defects, which is a statement about what is known. It is not a guarantee about what is unknown. Manheim's new dealer buyer FAQ says "You should never make a buying decision on a Condition Report grade alone," and the Simulcast help page says buyers are responsible for checking vehicle information before the sale.
Manheim's Digital Buyer Protection page lists "AS-IS, TRA and Inoperable Vehicles" as exclusions. So the light can change your protection as well as your price. Read Manheim Digital Buyer Protection before you buy a red-light car on a digital channel.
What changes if the light is blue?
Blue means the title is absent. Manheim's new dealer FAQ says vehicles post-auction are either Title Present or Title Absent, and Title Absent vehicles may be delayed. A delayed title can hold up your own resale. See Manheim title present vs title absent.
What happens if the car changes on the block?
Per the Simulcast help page, "if we receive updated vehicle condition information while the car is on the block," Manheim cancels all proxy bids. It also says the pre-sale catalog can change at any time. Do not treat the pre-sale list as final.
How do you use the run list to plan a buying day?
Process, not policy. A routine that keeps small buyers out of trouble:
- Pull the pre-sale list the day before and save the cars that fit your lot.
- Look up local resale and days to sell for each, so you have a ceiling before the lane starts.
- Open the condition report and the announcements on each saved car.
- Write your walk-away number next to the stock number and do not move it on the block.
Step two is where most buying-day errors start. The free CarFlipIQ Chrome extension shows local resale, days to sell and a max bid after fees on Copart and IAAI lot pages. New accounts start with a 7-day free trial (card required, $0 today). Its manifest also lists manheim.com, so it loads on Manheim search and detail pages too. Manheim publishes no buyer fee table, so net your own rate-sheet fee out of any max bid by hand, or use the max bid calculator.
